Day 3
Robin came over again today. Strength training day two. I really enjoy working out with her. She knows what she is doing, and is encouraging and positive as well.
I couldn't do the fun squats today because there were people using the treadmills. So I had to start my morning workout off with the normal, horrid squats. I really do prefer the jumpping around, it works out my ADD as well. Today was still challenging but u think for different reasons. We did the same workout, I just didn't have to have it all modeled today. So it flew buy and I didn't really have any rest between changing exercises. Needless to say my heartrate was up and I got a bit sweaty, both good things. I can steady tell a difference in my abilities as well. My pushups today were easier. My upper body strength had never been anything to show off. For example, funny story which probably won't get done justice on here- one day in my classroom we were relaxing, eating smack on the carpet after recess. Some of my girls were finished and asked what they do next and I said, just relax and chillout, cool off a bit before we move on. So they did but in a little kid way, they started to play- by doing push ups. They were laying their bodies out on the floor and lifting up at their arms but instead of letting their upper bodies come down they were basically swinging their little behinds up and down. Pretty cute and funny! So, me being the expert push upper I stopped them and said, "you're not doing it right. Watch me.". So I get down on the floor, lower my body and realize, what the crap was I thinking. I don't do push ups!!!! Oh well, I've already opened my big mouth and I push up. I honestly thought my head might explode. I hot through TWO and asked them to try now. And we move on. The next evening, I am home with James and start to complain about how much my pecks are hurting me. As usual he asks what I did and I couldn't remember then it hits me, those gosh darn push ups, all two of them are what has caused this horrible pain! Never again! LOL! Then robin came over for my physical assessment and told me I would have to do as many push ups as i can in a minute!! WHAT?!? A whole minute. I cranked out like 15 or something, not a lot and I was put in the "very poor" condition on arm strength. Awful. We're working on it!!
